Goodbye Ramadan :(

last night started the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan ...

last week I was in my uncle's house when me and my cousin were dicussing how the last ten days of this Ramadan will be different from the previous one!
how?
because last one it was a cold and rainy weather and we used to go in her little (mini cooper) car to the mosque late at night wearing jackets and feeling cold looking out the wet windows ... it was fun ...
But this year it is still hot weather no one can expect any rain !!!

last night was the surprise ! subhan Allah ... I was in my friend's house, we got out to the 7osh at 11:30pm and it was cloudy! heavy clouds with lightining !!!
today it rained! wow what a nice lovely weather :)

KUWAIT with no electricity!

good morning everyone :)
I didnt read any blog till now,but I expect that most if not all of the Kuwaiti blogs wrote about yesterday! :p

آنا كنت بالدوام وفجأة انطفأت الإضاءة وأجهزة الكمبيوتر فعمت الفوضى وعلت الأصوات! فهناك من كان في منتصف عملية مهمة على الكمبيوتر
بعدها أحسسنا بقيمة ال

فلولاها لما استطعنا رؤية أيادينا

استفدنا من انطفاء أجهزة الكمبيوتر حيث تجمعنا في مجموعات بعد أن كان كل واحد مقابل جهازه طوال اليوم
فجلست مع زميلتين نتحدث فلاشيء يمكن عمله غير الحديث (السوالف) ... أتانا أحد المديرين بالشركة وهو بحريني الجنسية وقال
(تعيبون على البحرين كله تنطفي الكهربا الحين انطفت الكهربا بالكويت كلها )
ضحكنا وعبالنا يتغشمر آنا قلت مو معقولة الكويت كلها لا شنو عمرها ما صارت
آنا أقول بس عمارتنا!!!

بعد لحظات أتى مدير باكستاني وقال لنا

كانت فوضى بالتقاطع فالإشارات كلها لا تعمل
معناته المنطقة كلها
يمكن صج الكويت كلها خل نتأكد
وكل واحدة تقوم بالاتصال على الأهل والصديقات بالمناطق المختلفة وكانت المفاجأة أن لا كهرباء

أضحكنا أخ زميلتي الصغير عندما اتصلنا عليه فقال
(ماكو لمبات وماكو تلفزيون)

اتصلت على واحد من أقاربي ويعمل في كونا (وكالة الأنباء الكويتية) متوقعة أن أحصل على الخبر كاملا منه وسبب الانقطاع
فقال
(ما ندري شسالفة آنا محكور اهني بالدوام)
!!!

الحاجز ما يصعد والسيارات تكودوا طابور

نزل واحد ويحاول يحرك الحاجز بإيده أو يكسره بس ما كو فايدة

أغرب شعور لما سمعت أذان العصرو كان المؤذن يصرخ من أعلى صوته وتخيلت الكويت قبل أيام بيوت الطين ! الحين عرفت أهمية المنارة وأخيرا صعد المؤذن فوق

ارجعت لكهربا بمنطقتنا قبل أذان المغرب الحمدلله وعرفت إنها ارجعت لما سمعت ولد جيراننا بالحوش يصرخ

Better not to marry!

بعد أن كنت أذهب للعبدلي بنهاية كل أسبوع لزيارة

فقررت الذهاب للاطمئنان على الحيوانات بعد أن اشتريت لهم ما يكفيهم من الطعام لفترة طويلة وبما أنني أحفظ الطريق للعبدلي وما فيه لاحظت بعض التغييرات
فكانت هذه الصور التي التقطتها بالطريق !



يعني كنت أشتري من هالبياعين عصير وبيبسي وكتكو ! بس ما كانوا يبيعون بباص وباص أصفر بعد ! مو جنه هذا باص مدرسة!!!

It made some people laugh,some got surprised!!! and others attacked me !
ya it is true ...

imagine that when I once put this photo in a forum which I usually put my pictures in, the admin removed the photo! and closed the topic !!!

His excuse was that I broke the law! and that I am proud of doing an illegal thing! and it is sort of a terrorist thing and he gave me a long list of accusations !!!
I think it is (stupidity) 'sorry for this word', but really the sign says dont take photo of the area behind me! and not dont take photo of the sign itself :D really I laughed how people think that way ...

انتخابات x انتخابات

تلقيت اتصالا مضمونه تكليف بأن أكون مسئولة لجنة التصويت بإحدى الكليات وذلك لانتخابات الاتحاد الوطني لطلبة الكويت ...
لم أتردد بتوقيع إجازة من العمل للغد تلبية لطلب قائمتي الغالية الائتلافية بل إنني أعتبر طلباتها أوامر حيث أجد نفسي ناكرة للجميل فبعد أن أصبحت موظفة لم أساعد إلا ببرنامج واحد أقامته الهيئة التنفيذية

انتهت المكالمة ... وها أنا أحاول منع دمعتي من النزول! فهاهو شريط ذكريات أربع سنين قضيتها بجامعة الكويت يعاد أمامي ... بدءا بدخولي كلية العلوم الإدارية بالعديلية ومرورا بانتقال الكلية للمبنى الجديد في الشويخ وانتهاءا بخوضي الانتخابات وعملي كعضوة بالاتحاد الوطني لطلبة الكويت بعد أن من الله عزوجل علينا بالفوز

أتذكر وأتذكر ...
حبيبتي قائمتي (المعتدلة) مازلت أعلق الباج بسيارتي واليوم أسعد لتغييره ووضع الجديد مكانه ... كم هو جميل! أتذكر عندما دخلت العلوم الإدارية والكل يحط من معنوياتنا لأننا كما يقولون غير منافسين فيها وأتذكر عندما وعدت نفسي أن لا أتخرج إلا وقد حققت المعتدلة انتصارا :) ... (لا تلوموني كنت متحمسه!) ... لكن أعتبر الانتصار قد بدأ فهو لا يأتي في سنة مرة واحدة وأرقامنا بازدياد كبير ولله الحمد وأخيرا أصبحنا منافسين :)

أتذكر عندما كنت أقف مع زميلاتي من المستقلة والوسط جنبا إلى جنب نوزع المنشورات وكل واحدة تعلق باج قائمته

المنافسة الشريفة... كم أحبها ! خصوصا مع منافسين أقوياء ... نتناقش ونختلف بالآراء وبعدها نترك خلافاتنا خلفنا ونمضي بصداقتنا
ومحبتنا

تذكروا أن العداوات لا تنفع والعلاقات الطيبة هي التي تبقى بعد السنوات المعدودة التي نقضيها بالجامعة ...

وأعود لانتخابات الغد التي أتمنى أن تسير بهدوء وتخلو من المشاكل ... وأدعوالممتنعين عن التصويت بعدم حرمان أنفسهم من تجربة الحياة الانتخابية والاستمتاع والاستفادة مما فيها حتى لا يندم أحد بعد التخرج لأنه جعل الجامعة للدراسة فقط لا غير ! ومن واقع تجربتي إن الجانب النقابي هو فرصة مجانية لتنمية المواهب وصقل الشخصية ... مليئة بذكريات جميلة ومضحكة! وحدها التي لن تنسى بعد التخرج

Soug el 7areem !

yesterday was a different Friday ...
I woke up @ 8:30 , left home at 9 heading to (soug elHareem) !

I need some photos for a competition am thinking to participate in and I chose soug el7areem to take my shots in ...
I took photos of nearly everything there ... dararee3 ... echmaqat ... '7amat ...

only 2 old ladys shouted at me, making everybody else in the soug look at me !
these ladys who sell the things over there with many others are wearing masks (barage3), so even if they by mistake appeared in my photos, what's the big deal :p their faces dont show !

one of them shouted at a man (hathee 9aweratnee len galat bas!) LOL
and the other one said (ta3alay ebnaya entay Tarbeya Asaseyya, jam3a?)
(lesh ma tgoleen e9eer a9awer!!! bas et9awreen!)

they were shouting louldly, I got scared ...
my answers were a smile (yellow one)


... I had fun and I got a big collection of photos , I even printed them at the same day ...

One seller was sad telling me that the soug will be removed and it will be replaced with a new building but selling the same old stuff !

What have your children been doing this summer? If kids do not keep their brains active, they will lose about 2 months (approx. 22%) of what they learned from school the previous year according to the Johns Hopkins Center for Summer Learning. This is known as the “Summer Slide.”
At the end of the school year, my son brought home a booklet filled with all sorts of homework for the summer. While a second look at the booklet really shows that it is not so overwhelming after all, the damage was done.
“Homework for the summer!” children all over exclaimed.
The pages and pages of math problems are mainly made up of one-minute timed tests, which should in effect really take up a total of 10 minutes. The long list of books of suggested reading, although followed by a summer reading record, didn’t mean they had to read those specific books or even that many.
Anyhow, everything just backfired so badly, it has taken weeks to fix the damage. Now here we are, a few weeks away from the start of the school year, and the kids’ brains need some polishing up. Where do we begin?
ReadingProvide reading materials for your kids. If your kids can’t sit still long enough to be encouraged to start a book, get them a selection of short stories or magazines. Take them to a bookstore or library, and let them choose their own books. Throw in an occasional comic book, as long as it meets your approval. Don’t forget to read together around bedtime, it’s a great habit they’ll cherish for a long time.
History and ScienceVisit a museum. Learn about the history of your area or some place else. Some cities have kids’ museums to stimulate children’s scientific thinking. Visit a planetarium to learn about the stars and planets.
GeographyWatch the Olympics! While watching individual competitions, choose a country to root for, and then look it up on the atlas. Try to encourage your kids to identify it by its flag. Remember though that after sitting in front of the TV for so long, you will need to get the kids physically active. Try holding your own home version of the Olympics.
Remember, make it fun, participate with them, enjoy yourself, and do not, under any circumstances, use the word “homework!”
